Mayor Jeff Tilton
Jeff L. Tilton, Mayor of the City of Zanesville, is a lifetime resident of Zanesville, Ohio. He is a graduate of Zanesville High School, Class of 1972. Prior to being elected Mayor in November, 2011, Jeff was a 39 year employee of Burnham Foundry. He served three plus terms as Zanesville Councilman at Large and was the chairman of several committees. Mayor Tilton is very active in the community. He is a member of the Genesis Advisory Board, Forest View Advisory Board, Gage and Gavel Lodge No. 448, Amrou M.O.V.P.E.R. Grotto, American Legion Post 29, and VFW Post 1058. He also was a past founding member of the Zanesville Community Civic Organization and he served two terms as President and had been a member of the Zanesville Sertoma Club for 20 years. Jeff is an active volunteer with Miracle on Main Street, Souper Bowl Sunday, Downtown Clean-up Day and the Y-Bridge Arts Festival. He was Co-Chair of the Sertoma Pancake Day for five years and volunteered at the Zanesville Gus Macker. Mayor Tilton is married to the former Becky Imlay Peterson. Together, they are parents of four children: Shane (Brandy) Tilton, Nicholas Tilton, Bill Peterson II, and Beth Ann Peterson (Joey) Eskridge. Their grandchildren are Austin and Andrew Vensil, Rokie Ann, and Hattie Mae Eskridge, and Clayton Peterson.
