¤ Major Responsibilities:

Investigating housing complaints and follow ups; performing plan review process for new construction; issuing residential and commercial permits (building, electrical, HVAC, etc.); conduct inspections (building, electrical, sprinkler systems, wrecking, day care, etc.).


¤ Standard Services Provided:

Issue misc. permits (sign, moving); provide lists of condemned properties (Procedure II and Procedure III); consultation on Code requirements; initiate legal proceedings against code violators.


¤ Areas of Service Not Generally Known:

Issue Master, Journeyman, and Apprentice Electrician licenses; find records of sewer and water tap locations; flood damage prevention/river development.
