Ralph Hennessey is a lifelong resident of Zanesville with a long-standing commitment to public service, business leadership, and community development. Ralph is a proud graduate of Zanesville High School, Class of 1983 and Bowling Green State University, Class of 1987, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Ralph was first elected to Zanesville City Council in 1994 as Councilperson at Large. In 2004 he became President of Council and served until 2010. During his tenure, he championed fiscal responsibility, advocated public safety initiatives, and promoted neighborhood revitalization efforts.

Ralph is President of Putnam Truckload Direct, a locally rooted company formerly known as Putnam Transfer and Storage Company. In his role, he supports small business development and understands the economic pressures and opportunities that shape Zanesville's growth. Ralph has very deep ties to Zanesville and brings legislative experience, business insight, and a practical, results driven approach to governance. His priorities include responsible budgeting, enhanced public safety, and creating an environment where families and small businesses can thrive.

Ralph has been married to his wife, Raven, for 17 years, and is the proud father of six children and is deeply invested in the future of the city he has always called home. Ralph's goal is to continue his work of strengthening Zanesville through collaboration, leadership, and service.
