John has been a resident of the 4th Ward since moving to Zanesville in 1987. Along with his wife Janet, they raised two sons who were educated in the Zanesville City Schools. The values and education they received in Zanesville have led to their successful careers.
As a professional educator, John taught a variety of science courses at the secondary and college level. Upon retirement from teaching, he was able to pursue his interest in creating art and now sells his work at local and regional venues. Part-time work at the Zanesville Museum of Art, as an art installer, expands his connection to the art world.
During his campaign, in preparation for assuming the role of councilman, John attended many City Council meetings and talked with members of council, city employees and residents of the 4th Ward. Addressing the many and varied concerns expressed by his constituents will be his focus while serving as a member of City Council.
John believes good communication is essential to improving the City of Zanesville. He encourages people to reach out to him with their concerns and ideas.
